We came to BEPS without even visiting before and since the day we started we cannot believe how lucky we were 🙂
A beautiful house full of warmth, really nice size classes and marvellous teachers. Instead of "just a year" we have already spent 5 in BEPS and we are very happy.
The way they implement the Early Years, Primary Years and now Middle Years programme is fantastic. Our kids are always happy to go to school and they come back with bits of knowledge that surprise us, without feeling any pressure.
As a parent I feel confidence for the future of my kids in education, as I see that their teachers are helping them develop their skills and personal interests. I also feel very happy to be part of the BEPS community and I think it is important for parents who are not local to know that they will find in the school other families with the same experiences, but also lovely Belgian families with lots of great advise.
Most of all, I am very happy because I see my children so happy.

After many years of being part of the BEPS community, I have a lot of positive things to say. BEPS provides a very fine balance between academic engagement and personal development. One of the things that remains very well looked after and takes me back to the early years that our kids started out is the fact that learning is something kids have to be encouraged and inspired to, and this has been very consistent as our kids have grown into the different stages of their schooling. Our kids realise that the older they get, the more that is expected from them with regards to their engagement and results, but this does not have to amount to pressure. If there is one thing that I believe schools should continue to foster, it is precisely the feeling that the desire to learn is something that has to consistently come from within each student. This is something that has to be consistently reassessed and implemented to suit not only the present but also each student's aptitudes and challenges.

When my daughter was 2 1/2, I enrolled her in BEPS preschool because it was an English speaking school, close to our home. I planned to transfer her to a bigger school when it would be time for elementary school.
She is still in BEPS, in year 5.
Guess why.

So many reasons for a child to be happy in BEPS.

Fantastic international school in Brussels! We moved to Brussels 5 yrs ago and luckily we chose this amazing school which has been for 5 years our family, our community. This wonderful school welcomed our daughters and made us feel safe and secure. Beps contributed to the growth of our daughters making them independent, self-confident, respectful of others and above all happy. Beps is a special and cosy school with brilliant, motivated and committed teachers who have the great challenge of educate children who come from all over the world. When we arrived my daughters did not speak a word of english and now they are completely bilingual + they speak a good french. Not least, the school consider and involve also the parents with events, parties, discussions, the PTA so for expats like us it has been a little corner of paradise. BEPS was an amazing school for our two children during the three years we spent in Brussels. Its now been three years since and we still miss it! A wonderful community and extremely nurturing for the children.

BE AWARE OF THE DIFFERENT DIMENSIONS OF YOUR CHOICE:
+++ Location was appealing, very central Brussels
+++ the building and set up look great
+++ relative small classes in terms of number of children

> However, this was a MASSIVE disappointment.
> Good intentions but very poor execution as some teachers rotate fast and selection is suffering (some good ones but doubt they will stay long).
> Would not recommend for British expats kids.
> For non-Brit or non-English speaking expats, you might get a feel good factor at the start (see first point) but do know that this is not a high level of expectations with regards to academic.

Other alternatives with far better results and happiness of kids (BSB and BJAB for example).

BEPs is an excellent school and was very important in my son's education! A welcoming environment that provided us a lot of security.
