Nice structure and buildings, the classrooms are clean, well equipped and maintained. The professors are open-minded and give importance to active participation during classes. As an Erasmus student I feel good here, pretty much every class has a group work to do, so I am meeting and sharing ideas with lots of different people. Weak point: the University of Antwerpen doesn't have a dormitory,it has just agreements with local landlords in order to make easier to find an accomodation.

Dat dit een ‘universiteit” heet, is een slechte grap. Hier heerst schijnbaar discriminatie en machtsmisbruik. Als je kansarm bent of tot een minderheidsgroep behoort, ga dan elders studeren. Ze jagen op de zwakste leden van onze maatschappij.

Hier studeren is een van de slechtste keuzes die ik ooit heb gemaakt—ik ben hier getraumatiseerd en dokters hebben dit vastgesteld. Leer aub bij uit mijn fouten! Bijleren uit fouten is trouwens iets dat UA weigert te doen—ze gooien fouten op fouten om verantwoording te ontwijken, net zoals ze hun eigen regels breken om bewijs over ernstige klachten niet te onderzoeken. Dit is een gevaarlijke plek en ik vrees dat het zo zal blijven. Aan reflectie en vrijheid doen ze niet—studenten gaslighten en manipuleren, dat lijkt hun specialiteit.

Kortzichtig en teleurstellend. Veel docenten zijn geïnteresseerder in hun ego, reputatie en het naleven van procedures (waar ze toegeven het oneens mee te zijn trouwens), dan het helpen van studenten en het verbeteren van het gebroken systeem.

Als ik kon tijdreizen, zou ik kiezen voor een andere universiteit.

Ik kwam hier slimmer buiten dan voor ik binnen ging. Ik had het logaritme dus flink te pakken zeg maar. Mijn fractalen zullen nooit meer hetzelfde zijn!
